Kems4Bats is a research group at Hochschule Mannheim. Supported by BMBF and big companies from the industry, Kems4Bats is working on gaining innovative insights for the future of e-mobility.
Kems4Bats is researching the heat and gas development in batteries as a material property. The requirements for new lithium-ion batteries are high, whether in notebooks, smartphones, power tools or electric cars. They are expected to have a long service life, high performance and energy density. Their operation should be safe and their production sustainable. Through better understanding of materials, lithium-ion batteries can become even more powerful and safe. The aim is to establish new self-developed measurement methods in order to identify possible new battery materials better and earlier.
Kems4Bats Messeauftritte
Together with the Formula Student Team Delta Racing, Kems4Bats was present at the iMobility Fair in Stuttgart. The fair offers a wide selection of vehicles for testing and showcases intelligent mobility. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about our current battery research and explore exhibits. There were mini-games for children and the chance to conduct initial experiments in battery research. Additionally, visitors could participate in an original Formula Student race car simulator, aiming for the fastest lap and the chance to win prizes. Following iMobility, we are now also present at BUGA23 starting from May 22nd!
