Just after I finished school I had the urge to break free from sitting and learning every day. This led me to find The Board Factory in Khao Lak, Thailand. During my 6 months internship I learned a lot about making videos, company structures, photography, surfing, thai language and culture and having fun.
When I came back after covid I was amazed by how much has changed for the better. Everything looks even more professional now, there’s a whole skate park in front of the factory, the biggest rip curl store of thailand and they grow their own salad to use in their own café – WHAT?! And that’s not even everything. I had to make a factory tour for everyone else to see!
I made myself head of Sunovas Youtube Channel, for which I then planned, filmed and edited videos like these. Surf legend Bert Burger showing off new boards. When there were new boards it was my task to take photos and take videos of them. Same for events – surf competition or fail camp? I was there – videoing everything, interviewing everyone.
TBF has two main brands: SUNOVA and SUNS. For SUNS it was interesting to witness the development of suns from the very beginning. When I came back SUNS continued the extraterrestrial vibe. Back in 2019 the aliens for every board were created, which I completed with the perfect font.
In 2022 I did different lifestyle photo and video shoots on the beach and on the water to present some brand new suns marble boards to the world.
